Client Overview

Bank Mandiri was established on 2 October 1998, as part of the bank restructuring program of the Government of Indonesia. In July 1999, four state-owned banks - Bank Bumi Daya, Bank Dagang Negara, Bank Exim and Bapindo - were amalgamated into Bank Mandiri. The history of these four banks can be traced back to over 140 years, and together they had contributed to the beginning of the Indonesian banking sector.

The Bank has set its sights to be among the Top 3 in ASEAN by 2020, in terms of market capitalization, and to be a major regional player.

Challenges

In today’s highly competitive market, customer loyalty is the key to secure your business since it costs five times more to attract a new customer than to keep an existing one. The first rule of any businesses is to retain customers and build a loyal relationship with them. But, crafting a compelling loyalty program is not an easy task at all. Customers today are a part of a dozen loyalty program, the possibility of your program to be forgotten and even abandoned are high. A poorly managed loyalty program can create a mediocre experience that will not stand the test of time.

Solution

SALT believe that an engaging loyalty program is the best solution to many retention problems faced by brands today. The solution is an intuitive loyalty app with customer-centric design to drive the usability of the rewards given to customers. We helped Bank Mandiri with the services needed such as CMS, user profile tracking, marketing automation, and the loyalty platform in order to bring the idea to life. We designed promo finder feature using current location to find the nearest promotions.

Result

With more than 2000 merchants joining the Fiestapoin program, it is so easy to find the nearest location to exchange their rewards, increased customer engagement with the program lead to an increasingly loyal customer. A great experience is generated through the intuitiveness of the app itself.
